Custom Order Instructions

Ordering a Custom Handmade Product

To order a custom handmade garment from me, please reach out to my via my website or socials. Please include as much detail as possible about what you are looking for. From there, the process will look something like this:

  1. We will chat about your preferences for colours, fabics, patterns etc. I will provide pictures of fabric options, and examples of what your garment might look like based on the pattern chosen. I will also discuss pricing and turnaround times with you before we finalise your design
  2. When you are happy with the design we have planned, I will invoice you for the deposit (see below), and ask you to sign off on the design brief. Once you have paid the deposit, I will purchase the fabric and other supplies I will need.
  3. When I am ready to start making your order, I will create a product listing on my website for you to purchase. This will be for the total cost, including shipping, minus the deposit. I will start making your order once payment has been made in full.
  4. Once your order is complete, I will send you some photos of your beautiful handmade garment before packaging it up and sending it on it’s way to you!

Terms and Conditions For Custom Orders

The following terms and conditions apply to all custom orders.

  1. As a small, home based business, I do not hold large amounts of fabric stock. This means that fabric and other materials/notions will be purchased specifically for your custom handmade garment. For this reason, I will request that you pay a deposit of $50, or 50% of the total cost of your order (whichever is more).
  2. Custom orders can only be refunded in full if they are cancelled prior to materials being purchased. After materials have been purchased for your garment, I will no longer be able to refund your deposit.
  3. If you cancel your custom order after I have begun making the garment, no refund will be issued unless the garment is found to be faulty (see my refund policy for more information).
  4. Creating a custom garment requires communication and collaboration. I will keep you updated during the process of creating your garment to ensure that the final product meets your expectations. If I am not able to obtain information I need from you, I may not be able to complete your garment. If I need to cancel your order as a result of this, I will not issue a refund.
  5. Turnaround times for custom orders will vary depending on my current workload and the complexity of the garment you have ordered. Production time for your order could be up to 8 weeks during busy periods. If you require your garment by a specific date, please contact me prior to ordering. I will advise on whether this will be possible. Rush orders may be available at my discretion, for an additional cost.
  6. Instructions will be provided on how to measure your child. No refunds will be offered for incorrect measurements given. Please read the instructions carefully and contact me if you’re not sure.
  7. No change of mind refunds will be issued for custom orders.
